Lorraine-based Independent Commercial Contractors will fence in the area on Monday and the actual removal of the 8,000 to 10,000 tons of rubble should begin Tuesday. Sixteen dump trucks from the towns of Wilna, Champion, Theresa, Orleans, Pamelia and Ellisburg will transport the debris to designated landfill sites. It is estimated that the process will take about 30 working days.

Certified Environmental Services Inc. of Syracuse has been hired to monitor the air during the cleanup.

Work at the site will last from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Monday through Friday until finished.
